Create a workspace

A workspace is the container for your deployed services. You can assign users, monitor your resource usage and manage the services. A Workspace also comes with your very own domain space. We call this a domain fragment. This fragment will be part of the publicly accessible domain for your services, so choose it carefully. It cannot be changed at a later point!

Creating a workspace

To start the workspace creation, you can click "Start for free" on our Landing Page, or if you already have an account go to the sidenav and look for "Create Workspace"

If needed, hostly will prompt you to register or log in.

Now you will be able to specify

  • A workspace name
  • A fitting domain fragment for your workspace

The domain fragment is specified in our domain input field:

Example

The above example means, that every service you define lateron, would be accessible under <servicename>.example.hostly.ninja, so choose a fitting value.

Hostly will check wether this domain fragment is still available. If it is not, hostly will make a suggestion that is available.

Choose a plan

After creating the workspace, choose the plan you want to use. The free tier is enough for a first deployment, but some features are limited. Persistence with backed-up volumes is only available on the paid tier of hostly.

Once the plan is active, Hostly sends you to the deployment wizard to create your first deployment!
